- intend to enrol as a commencing student in any undergraduate program in the year the scholarship is awarded, or after an approved deferral of up to 2 years
- have not previously studied at a university at a bachelor's level or higher
- have demonstrated significant financial disadvantage by receiving the maximum 5 adjustment points in the Financial Hardship category of QTAC’s Educational Access Scheme (EAS).

- your 5 entry rank adjustments from the EAS will be applied automatically to your UQ preferences
- you’ll receive $3,000 upfront in your first week to help you get started
- the remaining payments will be paid in semester instalments.
- After you apply through QTAC, you don’t need to do anything else. We’ll email you to let you know if you’ve been awarded the Queensland Commitment Scholarship.
