Eligibility requirements
- you are a domestic student in accordance with the University’s Fee Policy;
- you are enrolled full-time in the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours);
- you are a resident at St John’s College;
- you can demonstrate financial hardship by providing documentary evidence; and
- you have completed at least 16 units and not more than 30 units in the Approved Program.
- You're eligible if:
- Age: 16+ years

Application process
- Apply using the online application form.
- You'll need to provide information that demonstrates your:
- academic achievements in an undergraduate engineering program to date
- personal qualities, including leadership potential, community service and engagement
- evidence of financial hardship such as Centrelink statements, ATO statements, family income etc.
- regional/rural/remote residency (if applicable)
- We make offers for scholarships in the UQ Residential Scholarship Scheme across 2 rounds. Check the application opening and closing dates for each round below.
- Apply during the main round to give yourself the best chance of receiving a scholarship. This round has the largest number of scholarships on offer.
- If you are not selected in the main round, you'll automatically be considered for the second round. There are fewer scholarships available in the second round.
- You only need to submit one application to be considered for all scholarships in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship Scheme, UQ Residential Scholarship Scheme and Aspire Scholarship Scheme.
- Each scheme has different application and offer dates. Before you apply, check the dates for each scheme to make sure you'll be considered for as many scholarships as possible.
