Eligibility requirements
- Undergraduate degree; doctorate applicants must also satisfy any master's-degree requirement of the selected doctoral programme
- Applicants must meet the language rules of the selected graduate programme; before dissertation or thesis defence, selected candidates must demonstrate at least intermediate Portuguese as required by the host institution.
- Applicants must be citizens of a country that maintains diplomatic relations with Brazil and must not hold Brazilian nationality.
- Applications may be submitted in Portuguese, English, Spanish, or French. Candidates may select up to four programmes in different institutions.
Brazilian nationals are not eligible. Multiple applications by the same candidate are deleted and the candidate is disqualified. Candidates unable to meet the selected programme's degree requirements should not apply.
