Eligibility requirements
- A Ph.D. in the field of civil engineering, structural engineering, transport engineering, or equivalent competence documented through scientific or artistic work of the same scope and quality.
- Proven academic track record in research activities with dissemination or publication in one or several of the following areas: predictive maintenance of transport infrastructure, infrastructure diagnostics, smart infrastructure systems, railway engineering, and closely related fields.
- Educational competence in accordance with OsloMet’s guidelines:(Guidelines - educational competence)
- Written and oral proficiency in Norwegian, Swedish or Danish (minimum level B2), and English (Language requirements for employees at OsloMet)
- Applicants who do not have adequate proficiency in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language, shall be offered Norwegian courses, and must acquire Norwegian skills corresponding to at least level B2 within three years of appointment.
- General criteria for appointment to teaching and research positions are set out in the Regulations relating to the Act relating to Universities and University Colleges.
- Academic background: The Department of Built Environment (Department of Built Environment - OsloMet) offers two bachelor's studies and three master's studies in civil engineering, energy and indoor environment, transport and urban planning and has research and development activities in the subject areas of the studies.
